The construction of the new health center for Defense in Assen has been completed and will be made ready for use in the coming months. This center, specially designed for defense personnel, is designed from the Healing Environment concept: the promotion of both physical and mental health is supported throughout the building.

The heart of the building is shaped like the Cross of Geneva, with a patio, entrance, atrium or winter garden in each corner of the cross. This means there is always a view of greenery and the world outside. Military personnel can go there for regular medical examinations, the dentist and vaccinations. The center also has a laboratory and rehabilitation area.
