MD Formatura facade with typical Aruban patterns

The first project for Metadecor in Aruba. On JG Emanstraat, Van Kessel Havenbouw is renovating an old building into a place where people will soon be able to live and work. This building will have a Corten steel look and a MD Formatura facade with typical Aruban patterns. You often see these patterns on Aruban houses.

As you can see below, you see various patterns which will be presented on the side of the facade. These have a symbolic meaning; a tree with branches and birds signifies a fruitful and child-rich marriage; a heart enclosed in two arms a long and happy marriage; a star keeps evil out of the house. This all has common ground with the new function of the renovated building on JG Emanstraat in Aruba. The image in the middle consists of the Aruban population. In the first image you can see how it was conceived. In the second image you can see how the image is realized with MD Formatura facade cladding.

Engineering and delivery of facade panels

Metadecor, in consultation with the architect and client, engineered the facade based on the client's dimensions in sizing. After approval, the facade panels are put into production. The facade panels have a 2-layer powder coating in a corten steel look. The client takes care of the assembly of the facade itself by means of our semi-blind mounting system MD Mezzo. We have made a clear assembly plan for the client, so that they can attach the facade with ease. The client also makes lighting behind the typical Aruban patterns, so that they can use the building to respond to important holidays. The JG Emanstraat in Aruba will soon have a beautiful building, where people can work and live with pleasure.
