Christian Louboutin facade in New York - designed by Metadecor
We are proud to have been involved in this prestigious project on the Christian Louboutin store on New York's Madison Avenue. The transparent facade is made from MD Formatura with a unique pattern with varied and twisted faces.
Every part of the screen is laser cut and carefully hand folded to create a wave effect. The transparency of all the screens changes over the whole facade, both vertically and horizontally, while preserving the view from the windows on the second floor.
We used two types of stainless steel panels. The first and most complex screen consists of more than 100 detachable elements which are hand welded. After a white powder coating, the panel was painted red on the back, so that the red color reflects in the gold panel behind. The second panel is from our MD Formatura line and creates a unique hue.
