Product: MD Formatura
Surface treatment: powder coating
The Zeestraat (68 t/m 72) in The Hague is an extension of Noordeinde towards Scheveningen. The objective of the renovation of the facades along the Zeestraat is to preserve their authentic character. The monumental buildings along the Zeestraat, together with the surrounding building, are being transformed into office spaces, establishing a symbiotic relationship between the historic and the modern buildings.
By bending the hexagons, a single large image is projected onto the façade.
Metadecor produces and mounts an MD Formatura façade of type FO215 with a spacing between the figures of 65 mm. The material is aluminium EN-AW 5005 with a thickness of 3 mm, and the surface has been powder coated in RAL 7030.
The MD Mezzo fastening system was used in this project. The panels are folded twice inwards at the edges. On the front of the panel, extra large holes are incorporated to allow screws to be inserted through them, securing the panels in the second fold. No adjustment was required for this particular project.
