EMPEREUR BUILDING, BRUSSELS, BELGIUM
Architect: Architectes Associes │ Client: Denys │ Project date: 2014
Old and new come together at Empereur
We were commissioned to finish a nine-story residential and office building in the center of Brussels using MD Expanded metal. This included auxiliary construction and finished edging around the windows.
The existing building is anchored with the historic Anneessen tower, one of the few protected remains of the medieval city wall of Brussels, the foundations of which were more than six meters above the excavations of the underground level.
